Panic attacks are a type of fear response. They're an exaggeration of your body's normal response to danger, stress or excitement. Panic disorder is an anxiety disorder where you regularly have sudden attacks of panic or fear. A panic attack is an intense wave of fear characterized by its unexpectedness and debilitating, immobilizing intensity.

June is Scleroderma Awareness Month hosted by SRUK, with joining organisations from around the world to increase awareness of this rare autoimmune condition scleroderma. The purpose of this campaign is to help raise awareness and provide support for people who are living with scleroderma as well as knowing the signs of scleroderma and prevention investing in a cure.

Dementia Action Week will take place on 21st May 2018 until 28th May 2018 and the purpose of the campaign is to call on everyone to take action to improve the everyday lives of people affected by dementia. The goal of the campaign is to also help raise awareness and support of dementia so that people know the signs and how to deal with dementia.

Deaf Awareness Week is a unique campaign in that so many different organisations participate, each able to promote their own work within the broad spectrum of deafness. This year’s Deaf Awareness Week (DAW) is nearly here! From 14–20 May, the aim is raising awareness and challenging perceptions of hearing loss and deafness across the UK.

The annual observance focuses on the need for improved patient healthcare services, increased research into the causes of and cure for lupus, earlier diagnosis and treatment of lupus.

This Month Is National Walking Month which is taking place in May 2018 with the purpose During May to see as many people as possible give walking everyday journeys a go, and there are loads of ways to take part. This is to help raise awareness and encourage people to walk more of the health benefits of walking. This campaign is run by a UK charity Living Streets.

Friends, families and communities come together and are invited to show their support for people who have been affected by a stroke. The primary aim of the campaign is to help raise awareness of strokes and support those who are suffering or may be at risk of a stroke.
