How to use NiQuitin CQ Original Patches

NiQuitin CQ Original patches are part of a programme designed to lower your nicotine dependance in stages. The patches are available in three strengths 21mg (Step1), 14mg (Step 2) and 7mg (Step 3) and are used sequentially to control your cravings by gradually lowering your dose. The recommended is use is as follows:

For smokers who smoke more than 10 cigarettes per day.

21mg patch (Step 1) - Use for 6 weeks
14mg patch (Step 2) - Use for 2 weeks
7mg patch (Step 3) - Use for 2 weeks

For smokers who smoke less than 10 cigarettes per day.

14mg patch (Step 2) - Use for 6 weeks
7mg patch (Step 3) - Use for 2 weeks

Do ot use NiQuitin Patches if:

You are under 12 years of age
You are a non-smoker
You have never been a regular smoker

Can I use NiQuitin Patches if I am pregnant?

If you are pregnant it is better to give up smoking without the aid of nicotine replacement therapies (NRT's). However if you find if difficult to stop smoking whilst pregnant then NRT is safer for your baby than continuing to smoke.
