Pharmacy Services

NationWide Pharmacies is a leading UK based online pharmacy providing NHS and private prescription services.  For more information on the services listed below please contact us via email, our contact form on this site or via our customer care telephone number. 


We dispense NHS prescriptions and deliver them direct to your door free of charge. We keep a comprehensive stock of medicines which we can normally deliver to your door within 24 hours of receiving your prescription. You can send us your prescriptions using one of our FREEPOST envelopes. Our in house pharmacists and/or our GMC registered doctor can give advice on how to get the most benefit from your medicines.
Repeat Dispensing

If you wish to register with us we can dispense NHS repeat dispensing prescriptions issued by your doctor. Once you are registered, if you need to order any repeat prescriptions, you can do so via the online repeat prescription ordering facility.

Unwanted Medicines

Never dispose of unwanted medicines yourself. The safest way to dispose of unwanted medicines is to return them to your nearest convenient pharmacy where they will be disposed of safely. If you wish to return any unwanted medicines to us, you can do so by contacting our pharmacist who will provide you with a special reinforced envelope with our FREEPOST address and advice on how to package them. Please note that packages must be secure and must not contain any Controlled Drugs, needles or Cytotoxic Drugs. If you are in doubt our pharmacist will be pleased to advise you.

Health Advice and Self-Care

Our superintendent pharmacist, GMC registered doctor, duty pharmacist or trained assistants, are all available to provide you with health and self care advice. The consultations are free of charge and completley confidential. Once you are registered with us you are free to email our pharmacist or doctor regarding any ailments that may be concerning you. All information provided will be treated with the upmost of confidentiality. Our Doctor or pharmacist will reply to you either by email or by telephone which ever may be appropriate at the time. You may only require advice on how to live a healthy life style, maybe how to stop smoking or information on healthy diets. Of course you will find lots of information on these matters on our site but should you require advice from our team of professionals that is more personal to you then we will be only too glad to provide it.

There is a wealth of information on our site and more is being added on a daily basis. However if you can't find what you want on our site there are also lots of links to other sources of health advice and assistance such as quitting smoking support groups, NHS Direct etc. So one way or another you will find the help and advice you are seeking.
Patient Medication Records

We have state of the art computer software systems that link to the NHS N3 line. This allows us to to keep detailed records of all prescriptions we dispense as well as detailed patient records. Our systems will identify and flag to our pharmacist if there are any possible problems when dispensing a prescription. This enables us to identify problems, such as interactions between medicines being dispensed or between a medicine being dispensed and one previously dispensed. All of this is designed to keep you the patient our customer safe. We comply with the Data Protection Act and the NHS Code of Practice on confidentiality. All your information is kept strictly confidential.

Private Prescription Service

For certain clinical conditions that are suitable for distance consultation our UK registered Doctor can provide you with a free online consultation. You must register with us before this service can be provided. Your private prescription will only be issued after a successful online consultation has been completed.
Over The Counter Medicine Sales

We keep a wide range of general non prescription over the counter medicines as well as a wide range of medical appliances and diagnostic equipment. All of which you can order via our online shopping section and have them delivered directly to your door. We are adding to the range on a daily basis, so do visit our online shopping section when you are next on our web site.

Holiday Healthcare

We can advise on medical requirements for travellers, including anti-malaria treatments. So if you are booking that once in a life time exotic holiday don't let it be spoilt by not taking the necessary healthcare precautions before you leave.

Hours of Business

Although our online services are available 24/7 our offices are only open during normal business hours 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday. This means that our telephone customer care line is only answered during these times. Outside these hours, health advice and information, including details of other local health services, is available around the clock from NHS direct. You can use:
