The Website Owner, including subsidiaries and affiliates provides the information contained on this website or any of the pages comprising the website ("website") to visitors ("visitors") (cumulatively referred to as "you" or "your" hereinafter) subject to the terms and conditions set out in these website terms and conditions, the privacy policy and any other relevant terms and conditions, policies and notices which may be applicable to a specific section or module of this website.

Shipping & delivery

When placing your order with NationWide Pharmacies customers must provide accurate delivery information. NationWide Pharmacies does not accept responsibility for lost orders due to inaccurate delivery information.

All delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. Delivery costs are listed below and NationWide Pharmacies reserve the right to review and change them at any time.

Prescription Medicines can only be delivered to addresses in the UK.

Due to changes made 17/03/2017 to MHRA guidelines for the supply of medicines to other EU countries. We can no longer supply those countries, to do so would put us in breach of our Common EU Logo licence. 

Prescription Orders

All private prescription orders and non-prescription orders over £35 in value are delivered free of charge.

All private prescription orders are delivered by Royal Mail 1st Class or you can choose Guaranteed Next Day delivery proving orders are submitted before 12 pm midday.  A signature may be required on delivery for POM (prescription only medicine) orders. All POM orders can only be despatched once they have been cleared by our doctor. All prescriptions are reviewed by our doctor within 24 hours and normal delivery will take 1-3 days.

NHS Prescription Orders

All NHS prescription orders are delivered free of charge by Royal Mail 1st Class delivery service. A signature may be required for some NHS prescription orders. All NHS orders can only be despatched once they have been clincaly checked and dispensed by our pharmacy. 

Non Prescription Orders

For over the counter (non-POM) orders under £35 in value, we charge £4 for UK delivery based and total cost of the order, regardless of how many items you order. Standard delivery is sent Royal Mail 1st Class and will normally take 2-5 days. The vast majority of orders are dispatched either on the same day or the following day.

If your order includes both over the counter and POM items the order will be sent free of charge where the total value of the order is over £35. Your total order will be despatched once your POM items have been approved by our doctor. Your order will be delivered by Royal Mail 1st Class signed. A signature will be required on receipt of your order.

Order Insurance

Our insured delivery service provides full cover against loss or theft. In the event that your goods are lost or stolen in the post, you will be entitled to a choice of a full refund or the goods replaced at no extra cost. Goods will be considered possibly lost or stolen if they have not been received at the delivery address within 30 days of the shipment date. Once the 30 day period has passed a trace will be instigated by the postal services. Once the postal services have confirmed that the parcel is lost a full refund or replacement will be issued. In the event that the postal services report the goods have been correctly delivered, this will be final and binding and a refund will not be issued. In this case, all relevant information will be passed to the customer so they can pursue the matter further with the postal services.

 

Delayed & Lost Orders

Delayed and lost orders can only be investigated and confirmed after 30 working days from the original delivery due date. If an item is undelivered customers should check with their local Royal Mail Delivery Office in the first instance. To find your nearest Royal Mail Delivery Office you can contact the Royal Mail on 0845 6050767. This automated service will give you the address and opening hours of your nearest Delivery Office.

What information do NationWide Pharmacies collect?

We may collect the following information:

    • Name
    • Contact information including email address
    • Demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests
    • Other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offer
    • Identification and proof of address

How is the information collected?

The information NationWide Pharmacies collect is totally at the discretion of the user who remains in control of what information is submitted at all times. On occasion, we may request further details and information if we feel necessary. The information we may request is collected by the user providing it to us. Any information we request will be able to be added via a user's NationWide Pharmacies online account.

Who is collecting the information?

Any information a user provides us with will only be collected by NationWide Pharmacies only.

Why is the information being collected?

We collect different information for different reasons. The address provided may be used to verify the card being used to make payment is registered and not fraudulent. Further, medical information collected will be used to assess and make clinical decisions where applicable. All information collected will be used for internal purposes only, unless we have been given permission to do so otherwise.

Information such as date of birth and name may be used to verify a user's identity. The information provided to us is verified automatically by a licensed agency. In the event the information provided regarding identity cannot be verified, we may ask you to provide further documentation e.g. copy of a passport and proof of address.

As we are regulated under UK law and industry regulations, there are occasions when we may ask you to provide identification to prove who you are as well as a proof of address to prove where you live. How will the information we gather be used?

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

  • Internal record keeping.
  • We may use the information to improve our products and services.
  • We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided which you will have voluntarily opted in on to receive.
  • From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, fax or mail. We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests.
  • Identification and proof of address documents are uploaded and safely stored in your account and kept on file for audit purposes as long as your account remains active.

 

How do we seek consent?

To register to receive e-mail's from us, there is a non-prepopulated tick box upon sign up which can be ticked should a user registering wish to receive e-mails from NationWide Pharmacies. In order to receive e-mails from us, a positive opt-in is required here. 

For patients who use our online doctor service, NationWide Pharmacies seeks consent to contact your Doctor by asking to firstly provide us with the GP practice a patient is registered with and secondly, to specify whether we have consent to contact the surgery on the patients' behalf. The options for providing consent are;

  • Yes - we do have permission to contact the patients' surgery
  • Yes with the exception of - the patient can specify if there is a certain subject or condition they do not wish to speak with their surgery about
  • No - the patient doesn't give NationWide Pharmacies consent to contact their surgery under any circumstances.

 

How to withdraw consent?

To withdraw consent, patients can remove their Doctor's details and select the 'no' option to declare NationWide Pharmacies do not have consent to contact their surgery in the Account Information section.
 
Each time consent is either given or rescinded, the action is electronically time-stamped and recorded for audit trail purposes.
 
To withdraw consent for NationWide Pharmacies to contact you by e-mail please either use the 'Unsubscribe' button at the bottom of our e-mails or e-mail customerservices@nwpuk.com.  To close your account e-mail customerservices@nwpuk.com stating your request. Please be aware that due to current GPhC guidelines that we are required for patient safety to retain your patient consent forms for a period of Six years and data from the sale or supply of patient medications for two years. If a patient request for their account to be closed, any ID or proof of address provided will be permanently deleted immediately.

Returns & Replacements

We want you to be delighted with your order and our service. If you are unhappy with your order for any reason and you wish to return items you must contact NationWide Pharmacies by email explaining why you wish to return or exchange the items. This must be received by NationWide Pharmacies within 7 days of receiving your order. Once notified you must return your items within 30 days of the delivery date. NationWide Pharmacies will not refund your order unless the item(s) are in a saleable condition upon return. You will be liable for the cost of returning items to us. We highly recommend that items are returned via a Recorded Delivery service as we do not accept responsibility for items lost in the post. It is your responsibility to ensure the goods are adequately packaged to ensure that they are not damaged during return transit.

PLEASE NOTE THAT PRODUCTS MAY NOT BE RETURNED IF THEY HAVE BEEN OPENED OR USED. PRESCRIPTION MEDICINES CANNOT BE RETURNED FOR REASONS OF HYGIENE

Payment, Pricing & Promotions

The price of the goods ordered will be the price shown in UK pounds at the time of the order on the product pages of this site. The cost of delivery, packaging and purchase price will be clearly displayed on the buy page before the customer commits to the order and will be the full and final amount due for the order. Credit cards are processed in UK pounds for UK credit card holders. For credit cards that use other currencies such as Euro's our site uses "Dynamic Currency Conversion" which will identify the currency that your card is billed in and use real time official bank exchange rates to convert from UK pounds to the currency of the card being used, this ensures you get the best possible exchange rate available at time of purchase. The exact amount of the purchase will then be displayed in the currency of your credit card before you commit to the purchase and will be the full and final amount due for the order that will be charged to your card.

In providing payment card details, you confirm that you are authorised to use the card and authorise us to take payment in full for the applicable prescription charges, postage and packing charges and any other charges that become due to us under these terms. Refunds, if applicable, will only be made to using the payment gateway and/or card originally used for payment.

All our products are Duty and VAT (value added tax) paid in the EU and therefore, as per articles 8 and 9 EU directive 92-12-EEC, will not attract further duties or taxes for EU residents. Any additional duties or taxes payable by customers outside the EU is the sole responsibility and liability of the customer. IMPORTANT. in the unlikely event that individual EU countries should apply additional duties, taxes or restrictions over and above those defined by EU Council directives, they will be the sole responsibility and liability of the customer.

Online Doctor & Prescription Services

NationWide Pharmacies Online Doctor Services are provided by a GMC Registered Doctor. You agree that all information given in the medical questionnaire is accurate and truthful. You agree that your prescription order is for your own personal use and that you will not be shared with another person(s). When you submit your medical questionnaire you agree to our doctor prescribing you with the requested treatment. You agree that treatments prescribed are not guaranteed to treat your condition.

You must be over the age of 18 years of age to use our Online Doctor Service.

All information provided by you must be truthful and accurate in order for our doctor to be able to make a full and accurate diagnosis. Where the information provided by you is considered incomplete, you will be contacted for clarification before your order can be processed.

Our doctors prescription advice is based on the information that you have provided in our medical questionnaire. Our doctors are regulated by the GMC (General Medical Council) and are bound by the GMC Good Practice in Prescribing Medicine.

You agree that medication prescribed by NationWide Pharmacies is for your own personal use and not for the use of another person(s).

You agree that you will carefully read all relevant information provided with the product. If you are uncertain of how to take your prescribed medicine you agree to contact our pharmacist at pharmacist@www.nationwidepharmacies.co.uk.

NationWide Pharmacies and our GMC registered doctor will under no circumstances accept liability for any loss or damage, in contract negligence or otherwise, where there is no breach of a legal duty of care owed to you by us, or the loss or damage is not a reasonably foreseeable result of any such breach or any loss or damage or increased risk of loss or damage results from a breach by you of these terms and conditions.

In particular, we are not responsible for;

          • loss or damage caused by you providing inaccurate or incomplete information
          • loss of your emotional well-being including, but not limited to, any embarrassment caused
          • loss of income or anticipated profits
          • loss of opportunity
          • loss of goodwill or injury to reputation
          • losses suffered by third parties; or any indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from the use of the service regardless of the form of action

 

Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence of fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Nothing in these terms and conditions affects your statutory right

We are legally only able to dispense medicines to you where we have received a valid prescription issued by a registered prescriber within the European Economic Area. Prescriptions are issued entirely at the discretion of the prescriber.
These Terms and Conditions are subject to the laws of England and Wales and each of us hereby submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh courts.
