Every year in May, Dying Matters and their coalition members host an Awareness Week, which gives us an unparalleled opportunity to place the importance of talking about dying, death and bereavement firmly on the national agenda. In 2018, the week will run from 14th to the 20th of May and the theme will be asking "What Can You Do... in your community?"

OCD Awareness Week is a global effort to raise awareness about OCD. This year it will take place on the 9th October 2017- 15th October 2017 and the key purpose is to help raise awareness and understanding about obsessive compulsive disorder, helping more people to get timely access to appropriate resources and effective treatment.

National Personal Safety Day will be held this year on Saturday 7th October 2017 and is an annual event. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness of simple ways to keep safe and avoid violence helping others to feel more confident and safe. This is organised by The Suzy Lamplugh Trust and what they do is highlight practical ways that anyone can avoid violence and aggression, so they can live safer, more confident lives.
