The purpose of Sober for October is to encourage people to drink alcohol responsibly and stick to the recommended daily guidelines for the rest of the year. Go Sober for October involves 31 days without alcohol and instead of wasting money on buying alcohol you end up raising money for people living with cancer they partner with Macmillan Cancer Support for a positive cause in helping others suffering from cancer.
